Our School

Choi Kwang Do is a Martial Art that was invented in 1987 by Grand Master Kwang Jo Choi.  It is not just the name of a school.  We do not teach Tae Kwon Do or Juijitzu or any other martial art.  Choi Kwang Do has no need to teach a variety of styles because it is a COMPLETE MARTIAL ARTS SYSTEM.  It is meant for real world self-defense and also a perfect means for achieving optimum wellness.  CKD of Duluth is located in Gwinnett County Georgia in the city of Duluth and is conveniently located on Buford Hwy only one mile South of Sugarloaf Pkwy and a mile North of Duluth Hwy 120. 

The Duluth Choi Kwang Do school is operated by Jason Bowen ( 3RD Degree Black Belt). Mr. Bowen began his journey with CKD back in 1995 and is a Certified Chief Instructor as well as an Official Examiner for Choi Kwang Do Martial Arts International.  Furthermore, Jason Bowen is a Deputy Sheriff with the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Dept. and prides himself not only in being upstanding as a law enforcement officer but also in exuding a higher moral code of ethics.

The school was started in 2004 has been growing fast, teaching adults and children the martial arts style known as Choi Kwang Do. We also have a very strong Teen program that is not only a constructive outlet for today's teens but also an available mentoring program for these young women and men.

We offer professional and detailed instruction for all ages and skill levels. If you are a beginner to an advanced student, and are looking for an interesting and practical exercise program; we have a program that will surpass your self-improvement needs.
